Aquatic Area Reopening

We will enforce 6-foot distancing and pool capacity restrictions of no more than 50%. Adult Exercise includes water walking and stationary exercise by members age 12 and up (no recreation or play).

Effective June 1, two to three lanes of the pool will be dedicated to Adult Exercise along with Lap Swimming at various times of the day.

Below is a summary of the guidelines effective June 1:

  • · Lap swimming continues with one swimmer per lane and 30-minute maximum
  • · Adult Exercise (water walking and stationary exercise) may resume
  • · Maximum of 10 members for Adult Exercise when two lanes are in use
  • · Maximum of 15 members for Adult Exercise when three lanes are in use
  • · Members must maintain 6 feet of distancing when in the pool and while on the pool deck
  • · Under 12 not allowed in pool (Play Center access only at this time)
  • · We have attached an updated pool schedule for reference This schedule goes into effect June 1.
  • · Members will need to provide their own towel at this time

We are pleased to continue to offer Aquatic classes, while adhering to not only social distancing standards – but also fitness distancing standards of 12 feet while exercising. Our goal is to offer a safe and welcoming return for you and your family. We know that many of you are looking forward to your favorite classes returning, and a fuller schedule, but this will take time. As more members return to the facility, we will be able to expand our class offerings. We look forward to offering more options to our members in August and September.

Please be advised that the entire pool may be reserved when classes are held and during our Conway Crocs swim program. 

The deck shower, sauna, steam room and whirlpool will remain closed as there has been no update in the directive regarding those.

Jump in! The water feels great! Aquatic exercise is a great non-impact way to build strength, increase endurance, burn bodyfat, and improve range of motion. Our 25 yard, 5 lane multi-use pool hosts a variety of activities including aquatic fitness classes, lap swim, private and group swim lessons, and recreational swim.

Since a variety of activities are conducted in the pool, please be respectful of the schedule, other users and staff instruction to allow for efficient use. Scheduled activities have priority. The pool temperature will range between 86°-88°F.

Use of Pool by Children 0-11 Years

For member safety and enjoyment, we encourage use of the pool by children 0-11 years during family swim time. This is typically in the afternoons from 1-5pm when lifeguards are more likely to be present and our morning classes are complete. Please see our current aquatics schedule for details. When in the pool, children 11 and under must be supervised at all times by a parent. Children 5 and under must have a parent with them IN the water at all times. Please see our facility age guidelines for complete details.

Bring these items…

  • Modest swimwear
  • USCG approved flotation device for non-swimmers
  • Flip flops, sandals or other pool shoes

Leave these at home…

  • Large flotation devices, such as pool chairs
  • Water guns or Nerf-style guns
  • Glass of any kind

Pool Activities

Lap Swim | During lap swim, designated lanes are prioritized for those actively swimming laps. Multiple swimmers may occupy a single lane. UPDATE: One swimmer per lane at this time for 30 minutes max.

Adult Exercise | During adult exercise, designated lanes are for individual member exercise, stretching and relaxation for those age 12+. Members should avoid disrupting classes, therapy or swim lessons that may occur during these times. Members age 12-17 may use the pool but this is not recreation/play time unless it is scheduled at the same time as Family Swim. See schedule for details. UPDATE: Must maintain 6 foot fitness distancing and pool capacity is limited.

Family Swim | Family swim is recreational time for families and children under 12. This is the only time children under 12 are allowed in the pool unless participating in staff led swim lessons. Children under 12 must be supervised in the pool area and children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. Adult exercise may be allowed at the same time. See schedule for details. UPDATE: Not available at this time.

Classes | Classes will periodically take place in the southeast area of the pool under the guidance of an instructor. Adult exercise may also available in the same area and we ask that members follow the guidance of the instructor and avoid disrupting classes that are in session.

Physical Therapy | Therapy sessions may be conducted between the hours of 8am-5pm Monday - Friday . If you participate in adult please do not interfere with therapy sessions.

Private Instruction | Private instruction such as individual swim lessons or aquatic training offered by an instructor may occur at any time. Lessons of any kind by an outside instructor are prohibited.

Crocs | Our competitive swim team is a great way for your child to stay active, have fun and learn good sportsmanship. The pool is closed to members during Crocs practices. The whirlpool, steam room and sauna will remain available. We will do our best to notify members of the Crocs seasons dates in advance.

Group Swim Lessons | Group swim lessons will periodically take place in the southwest area of the pool under the instruction of a swim instructor.

What to bring to the pool | Modest swimwear, USCG approved flotation device for non-swimmers, flip flops, sandals or other pool shoes.

What to leave at home when coming to the pool | Food, large flotation devices such as pool chairs, water guns or Nerf-style guns, glass of any kind.

Whirlpool | Under 6 not allowed. 6-11 should not use for more than 3 minutes. UPDATE: Closed

Sauna and Steam Room | Under 12 not allowed, 10 minute time limit, no street or gym shoes. UPDATE: Closed

Private events | The aquatics area may be rented for private events from time to time. In these cases the aquatics area will be closed to membership. We will do our best to notify members in advance.
