Kids Programs
We have various programs and services to encourage your children to be active and have fun at the same time!
Youth Sports Performance Training
Whether your child is trying to make the team, get more playing time, or reach an elite level, they deserve the best chance to reach their potential. Our Youth Sports Performance Training is offered for kids ages 8 – 13 to improve strength, conditioning, and athletic abilities under the direction of Erika Setzler, MS, ACSM-CPT, human performance program manager and former collegiate runner/USA Triathlete team member.
Upcoming 4-week sessions include:
- March 5 - April 4 *the group will not meet March 19 and 21
Ages 8 - 10 will train from 4:00 - 4:45 pm and ages 11 - 13 will train from 5:00 - 5:45 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost is $100 for members and $125 for non-members.
We are also excited to announce a special offering during Spring Break! Erika Setzler will offer three, one-day camps that will each focus on a different specialty:
- Monday, March 18 | Strength | Designed to help with explosive movements and injury prevention.
- Tuesday, March 19 | Speed | Designed to improve acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, and endurance.
- Wednesday, March 20 | Agility & Reaction | Designed to improve proper mechanics and cognitive performance.
Ages 8 - 11 will train from 1:00 – 2:00 pm and ages 12 - 15 will train from 2:30 – 3:30 pm. The cost for each specialty is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
Registration is available via the front desk, or members can utilize the Health & Fitness Center mobile app. A limited number of participants will be accepted into segmented age groups for better individualized instruction.

Kids Run Arkansas®
Registration is now available for the 16th annual Kids Run Arkansas®!
This event offers fun for the entire family, including face painting, games and more leading up to the 1-mile and 3-mile run/walk. Kids Run Arkansas® is open to children of all ages and parents. There is no chip timing as Kids Run Arkansas® strives to promote fun and fitness in youth and family.
The deadline to register and guarantee an official event tee is Sunday, March 31.
Each year, the schools with the highest percentage of participation are awarded scholarships for their physical education programs. We have awarded nearly $70,000 in scholarships over the past 15 years!
Youth Fitness Camp (YFC)
Registration will open Friday, March 1, for our Youth Fitness Camp (YFC) for kids ages 6 - 10. We are excited to be offering two sessions again this summer: June 10 - 13 and July 8 - 11!
Each day, the kids will explore different physical activities that will test their coordination, improve their balance, increase their endurance and most importantly—show them fitness is fun! Throughout the week, the kids will get exposed to a variety of activities, sports, nutritional, and health education to both challenge and excite them.
YFC will meet 8:30–11:00 am each day during their session dates. Kids may be dropped off for the duration of the camp each day. The cost is $90 for members and $110 for non-members.
Kids Triathlon Training Camp
Our Kids Triathlon Training Camp prepares your child to successfully race the Conway Kids Triathlon. This fun and interactive camp involves sport specific training, but also focuses on helping your child practice the swim to bike and bike to run transitions under the supervision of USA Triathlete team, Erika Setzler.
